  1. Find the D.C. Code title and section for the D.C. Law by using the "District of Columbia Laws" table within Volume 23 ("Tables" volume & supplement) of the District of Columbia Official Code
  2. Locate the D.C. Code title and section within the District of Columbia Official Code
  3. At the end of the D.C. Code statutory section, under "Historical and Statutory Notes," locate "Legislative History of Laws"
  4. "Legislative History of Laws" provides history information on the D.C. Law, including Act and Bill number
  5. Actual legislative documents are available through the Legislative Services Division of the D.C. Council.
